Goldcliff Lagoons

Main Sighting: Great White Egret
I arrived at the first hide just after dawn and just as I left I saw a Great White Egret in the air down by the second hide, it was croaking loudly as it battled against a strong head wind and flew south. There were about 8 Shelducks in front of the first hide. It wasn't until I got down to the new platform that I saw significant numbers of waders and waterfowl. Immediately in front of the screen there were 9 Shovelers and a pair of Shelduck, 2 Ruff, 10 Lapwing, 14 Redshank, 2 Greenshanks, 2 Little Stints, 3 Moorhens. At the bottom of the lagoon there were many more oo numerous and distant to count but certainly including Teal, Shoveler, Redshank, and Greenshank.
