Peterstone Gout

Main Sighting: Kittiwake
3 kittiwakes and 4 Manx shearwater passing by this morning. An unidentified cetacean down-channel was not the resident harbour porpoise but something larger with a big dorsal fin. Sadly great distance and surface haze prevented identification. A party of swifts drifting NE well out to sea (marine swifts are a June fixture at PG): they seemed to be feeding actively and I can only guess that the F5 offshore wind was bringing insects to them?
