Blorenge

Main Sighting: Red Grouse
Interesting observation on the Blorenge this evening.A single Herring Gull was quartering the moor like a Harrier (on the lookout for nests no doubt) and put up several birds. When it came above a Red Grouse nest the female Grouse ran away as if to distract from the nest whilst the male fanned his tail like a Capercaillie and kept jumping up as if to try and grab the Gull. This went on for several minutes until the Gull gave up and flew off.
