GLWR Uskmouth

Main Sighting:
Uskmouth Thurs. 28 Nov. 3.30p.m. Ring-tail Hen Harrier, SE Owl hunting near copse, Goldeneye, Pochard, Many singing Cetti'ss. If you wish to see starling roost don'st park in Uskmouth car park - they lock it at 4.30, and yesterday the starlings roosted at 4.25.

GLWR

Main Sighting:
GLWR Sun 25th Nov @ 10:45 a.m Bittern flew overhead across reedbeds near East Usk lighthouse and disappeared back into reeds near footpath overlooking fields below.Observed by two others who were extremely pleased as they had driven 60m to visit the reserve.Hen Harrier (ring tail) still present.

A White Jackdaw was spotted on two occations 31st Oct & 1st Nov 2002. Both times being at dusk coming to roost, This bird is not pure white but more of a siler. Tredgar House, Newport Gwent.

GLWR Uskmouth

Main Sighting:
Uskmouth Reedbeds Sunday PM 17th Nov. Calm, sunny and cold. G.S. Woodpecker checking out pylon girders - no success ! Kestrel, Merlin, Hen Harrier (ring-tail) and Sparrowhawk all present at Starling Roost (10'ss of 1000'ss) from about 4pm onwards. Cetti'ss singing well at about 6 sites. Owl/s calling SE of car park from about 4.50pm

GLWR Goldcliff

Main Sighting:
Goldcliff Lagoons sat 9th November Flocks of Fieldfare and Redwing moving through hedgerow between fields and hides. Numbers of Gadwall, Widgeon and Teal and a token little egret. Report of a harrier spec disappearing over sea wall. The aforementioned pteranadon failed to show!
