Main sighting: Shelduck
A pair of Shelduck were at Wentwood reservoir today (There’s only a small lake at the base of the tower at present ). No ducklings were seen so not sure if they’ve nested here. The drake was giving the local mallards a hard time, constantly harassing and actually attacking them.

Yellow Wagtail (singing from top of dung pile in field). Whitethroat; Swallows; Wheatear (male). Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Chiffchaff’ – all singing.

4 Wood Warblers at Coed y Parciau woods.
Also, Blaenserchan valley 25/4: 2 Cuckoos, 3 Wheatears, 4 Redstarts, 2 Garden Warblers, 3 Stonechats, several Tree Pipits, Green Hairstreak Butterfly.
