Main sighting: Bar Tailed Godwit

From 7:30am: Bar Tailed Godwit clearly seen from Greenshank Hide on first lagoon. Bar Tailed clearly seen as bird was moving around frequently. 35 Dunlin, Lapwing, Gadwall, Ringed Plovers, 2 Swallows, Reed Warbler singing, Reed Bunting calling, Teal, Mallard, 13 Mute Swan, numerous Shelduck, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Spotted Redshank, Redshank, Greylag Geese, Canada Geese, Shoveler, Linnets, Cettis Warbler, Skylark.

Main sighting: Little Egrets

Leading a nature walk for GWT, highlights were 3 singing sedge warblers, willow warbler, 5 chiffchaffs, 2 cettis calling, 2 pairs of nesting grey herons and a great count of 41 little egrets (from the hide). Other: several orange tip butterflies on the wing, small tortoiseshell and small whites.
